The realme GT6 sports a larger 6.78-inch display with a curved panel. The Xiaomi 14 Civi opts for a smaller 6.55-inch screen with micro-curved edges on all four sides, giving it a more immersive “floating” effect.
In terms of specs, the realme’s panel can dynamically adjust its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, thanks to the integrated LTPO technology. This should translate to better power efficiency. The Xiaomi, meanwhile, is locked at a static 120Hz.
Xiaomi’s display also boasts superior color accuracy, with a lower Delta E value compared to the more saturated realme panel. However, the realme can reach higher peak brightness levels, especially for HDR content.
Audio
When it comes to audio, both phones impress. They support the highest-quality Bluetooth codecs like LDAC and LHDC, ensuring exceptional wireless audio performance.
In terms of the built-in speakers, the realme GT6 gets louder, but the Xiaomi 14 Civi benefits from Dolby Atmos tuning for a more immersive sound profile.
Performance
Under the hood, these two flagships are evenly matched. They both pack the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
However, our testing revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Civi has a slight edge in overall performance. It scored higher on benchmark tests and also demonstrated better CPU stability during extended load.
This advantage extends to the gaming department as well. While both phones can run popular titles like BGMI and COD at high frame rates, the Xiaomi managed to deliver higher average FPS in our Genshin Impact test, all while running cooler than the realme.
Battery Life & Charging
The realme GT6 packs a larger 5,500mAh battery compared to the Xiaomi’s 4,700mAh cell. However, the Xiaomi 14 Civi managed to eke out better battery life in our real-world usage tests.
When it comes to charging speeds, the realme takes the lead with its 120W fast charging support. The Xiaomi, on the other hand, tops out at 67W.
Cameras
This is where things get a bit tricky. Both phones pack capable quad-camera setups, but their performance is quite inconsistent.
In good lighting, the primary cameras on both phones capture detailed, well-balanced shots. The realme, however, tends to oversharpen images, leading to an artificial look, especially at 2x zoom.
Low-light photography is a mixed bag too. The realme has brighter exposures, but the Xiaomi maintains more natural details and less noise.
Where the Xiaomi really shines is in the portrait and selfie departments. Its superior HDR processing and skin tone rendering result in more flattering, authentic-looking portraits.
Software & Features
On the software front, the realme GT6 runs realme UI 5 based on Android 13, while the Xiaomi 14 Civi uses MIUI 14 with Android 13.
Both skins offer a range of AI-powered features like smart album sorting, object removal, and eye strain detection. However, realme’s implementation seems more polished and less intrusive.
Both brands also promise 3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security patches, which is great to see.

If we had to pick a winner, the Xiaomi 14 Civi just about edges out the realme. Its more premium in-hand feel, better display, and more consistent camera performance make it the slightly more well-rounded device.
That said, the realme GT6 is no slouch either. Its faster charging, better IP rating, and slightly more polished software make it a compelling alternative. At the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with either of these budget flagships.
